Thought for the Month
James M. Berrie once quoted: "The life of a man is a dairy in which he means to write one story. And writes another. And his humblest hour. Is when compares the volume. As it is with what he hoped to make it."

Book Reviews

Da Vinci Code
by Dan Brown - R97

This must be the most widely read and talked about novel around. Join Harvard Professor Robert Langdon and his beautiful companion Sophie Neveu in a dangerous race across Europe in search of the answers to a centuries old mystery. Guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat and to make you want to discover more about one of the greatest artists in our history.

Of warriors lovers and prophets
by Max du Preez - R153

The ideal book for anyone who is interested in South Africa's past or who just loves a damn good story. Du Preez has written a quirky, highly readable account of some of the country's most colourful characters. Ideal bedside reading.

Movie Reviews

Finding Neverland

A biography of playwright James Matthew Barrie, the scribe who penned the children's classic Peter Pan. Johnny Depp stars as the turn-of-the-century writer as the film follows Barrie as he struggles to write and have his play produced while he cares for his down-on-their-luck neighbors who inspired the story in the first place. J.M. Barrie's Neverland also stars Dustin Hoffman, Kate Winslet, and Julie Christie.
